Did you ever notice that when you’re in a good mood things seem simpler? You feel more confident, and projects seem attainable. But what is so difficult sometimes is to find your good mood and hang on to it. It’s easier said than done for some people, including myself. I found that getting some simple exercise in the morning was all that was needed.

When you start working out in the morning and realize how great it makes you feel and how much better your day is, you find yourself to be in a much better mood. This doesn’t mean that you have to go to a Super Gym and turn into a gladiator. Just get your ass out of bed, get your heart rate up a bit and you will find that things just seem better. I don’t get as angry at slow drivers anymore, or get bent out of shape when my kid spills his milk. Heck, he’s six! Six year olds spill milk from time to time!

When your mood is positive you get more things done. You work better, become a better Mom or Dad and believe in yourself more. You not only become more confident in yourself, you close more sales because you are more confident about what you are selling. The power of your mood in real estate sales can dramatically impact your success.

Here’s the most important piece of advice that I can give you… again directly from personal experience. Once you start your little exercise regiment and catch that wave of self satisfaction, ride it and don’t stop! It’s easy to get lazy and sleep in for a few days in a row and then, before you know it, you’ve broken the habit. As a result your mood will start to descend into negativity and you’ll find yourself thinking that your clients are all stupid and don’t know what they are talking about. Then your sales suffer and you get fired. All because you slept in.
